Since 2007 I’ve been working on and off as a doctor with MSF, in Somalia, Kenya, and now Niger. I started this blog because friends asked me to write something, and to allow me to express things that I might otherwise bottle up. I’m sure there are many who would identify with the feelings I’ve expressed here, and I would be happy to hear from anyone who has any reflections to share.

Whilst it’s not my express intent to advertise the work of MSF, I would say that I feel that the project we are involved in here is highly worthwhile. I hope that comes across occasionally in what I write!

The photo shows me rescuing Zaynabou from a flowerbed.

Please note that the opinions in this blog do not necessarily represent the views of MSF.
